Dejeans Tiger Beetle

These nocturnal tiger beetles measure about 3/4 of an inch. They are longer-lived than their diurnal (daytime) cousins. They are the largest tiger beetle species that makes it into the pet hobby on any regular basis, exceeded in size only by the giant Amblycheila species. If you are a fan of Mantichora species, Omus dejeani is maybe the closest you'll ever get to seeing something comparable.

Very rarely available! They are voracious little predators of other small bugs and their mandibles reflect it! Their common name is Dejean's night-stalking tiger beetle.
