Anuroctonus Swollenstinger Scorpion

Anuroctonus appears to consist of two species in the US, A. pococki and A. phaiodactylus. I'm not sure which species we have avaialble here but they are gorgeous in any case and easily one of my favorite US species with their huge claws and that swollen-looking stinger!

Listed as the "California swollenstinger scorpion" on Bugguide.Net. This is due to the enlarged (fat) "stinger" (telson) present on males of the species. I like their two tone coloration of yellowish and browns. They fatten up really nicely, giving them a cute, plump look.

Available specimens are around 1.5 or so inches.
